Barbie seems pretty harmless to me. I think she promotes self esteem and a positive image for girls. Barbie can go anywhere and do anything. She has taken on just about any kind of career you can think of and has traveled the globe. Years ago Mattel made some mistakes with their dolls but they cleaned up their act. My daughter is permitted to play with barbies, I played with barbie and so did my mom. we’re both fine
my argument is that in comparison to dolls like the Bratz dolls barbie is great!

There is nothing wrong with Barbie dolls for children.
Children love fantasy and can use these to act out their fears or even their successes.
Everything needs to be in moderation. I do not believe that barbie effects young girls or makes them want to be thin and pretty. I think that was all hype to sell the product.

There’s nothing wrong with Barbies. They are harmless and fun. You can do all sorts of things with them. You can act out plays with them, you can give them weird and wonderful hairstyles. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Barbies, so in yout paper, say that they are good for children.
