My husband has hundreds of Lancia miniatures – most have been built but also several still in the box. He is thinking about selling them off (to make space in our house), but he won’t part with them unless he can sell all of them in one go. Do you know where we could advertise to sell the collection? We were thinking of approaching a Lancia club.
I don’t want to put them on Ebay because I seriously doubt anyone could afford to pay ,000+ for the entire collection, and I don’t want to sell the cars piecemeal.

The Art Car may be something of a niche market in the big, wide world of art, but to its adherents it really means something. To many people, art cars are a novelty, maybe a one-time curiousity they’ve seen but only given a passing notice to. Art is art because it creates a reaction, and because people want to look at it. And because of the input from many different peopl, it is arguably even better when people come together to create art, as not only does something get created, but some consensus is reached.

Young people in urban areas today face many tough and dangerous issues that threaten to (and often do) rob them of their education, health and even their life. Too many kids grow up to be in trouble, and too many don’t get the chance to grow up at all. In 1991, a teacher called Rebecca Bass was teaching in a downtown Middle School by the name of Edison Middle, with many of the kids under her tutelage seemingly at risk of falling into that futile pattern which had claimed so many before them.

So Miss Bass put a plan into action. Her junior high students would work together to create an art car, to be entered in Houston’s annual parade. At the beginning the interest was slight, but it grew steadily as the project progressed. In a fairytale story, when the Parade came along and the time for prizes was at hand, they took first prize in the whole parade and repeated the achievement the next year. Now, gangs still exist in Houston’s Second Ward and kids from Edison still end up in them – but less so, thanks to Rebecca Bass.

Well no, not exactly but instead of using fax to email you can actually open your car by using your mobile phone. (...)

Well no, not exactly but instead of using fax to email you can actually open your car by using your mobile phone.

iPhone

The iPhone is already able to do a lot of things from telling you where the closest gas station is to helping you find your way when you are lost. However a car rental company has already implemented the iPhone into their business. This company based in London offer their car keys slightly differently, you can use your own iPhone for the kety. You basically do not need keys at all and it works in a very similar way to unlocking the car with a key fob as the senor is on the inside of the car. Do not worry though as the system is designed to only take one iPhone user at a time which is of course very reasurring.

Normal Cars

If you have a car in which you use an electronic key fob then there is a way you can unlock the car if you have left the keys at home or have a spare key at the house. You will certainly need someone to be on the inside of your home with the other key fob, make sure you have the phone at the ready. Get them to call you up and press your phone up against the senor of the car. Of course this is all well and good but how on earth are you going to start i up!

This will only work if you have your phone right up against the sensor so make sure that you know where that is first.

There is another way that you can do this with a mobile.

If you have a business then consider using 0800 numbers and premium rate phone numbers as they could end up saving you a lot of money when it comes to running your company.
