Paints that can be used for Warhammer miniatures?

I am wondering what alternatives there are to buying the Games Workshop or Citadel brand paints to paint Warhammer miniatures. I have heard that acrylics work, but is there a certain kind? I don’t want to ruin my models by using the wrong kind of paint.

Thanks very much.

Where can i buy some advanced brushes for my miniatures?

I play warhamer 40k (the miniature one) and i need new brushes.

The citadel brush is too expensive and very cheap (2 of mine died..) so i need some new decent cheap brushes.

please list sites or so because that helps me alot.

Thank you

Or can you only use the Citadel spray paint, so it works better?

Because I can buy a can for just .50 at a cheap store and it is black. Do i have to use Citadel’s?

Synthetic, natural sable, etc? Any specific brand names?
I am using Citadel and Reaper paints–water-based acrylics. I want a brush that will keep its shape over time.
I have been painting for a number of years and am finding that Citadel brushes are very limiting and not the best quality. I could really use advice from someone who has been in the hobby for a long time and has tried many types of brushes.
