These things may not be worth a lot but they are priceless to me. Green Lantern #55 is only 50 bucks according to the online comics price guide. a few others worth a little more or less but thats not the point. My adult life is ok but my childhood was awesome. And these were a part of it. I hope to make a few of these going over all my stuff.

Francois Auguste RenĂ© Rodin (1840- 1917) French sculptor of the impressionism. Auguste Rodin is generally considered the progenirator of modern sculpture. The divine comedy written by Dante Alighieri was the inspiration for Rodin to create his sculpture The Kiss (based on the story of Francesca da Rimini who kissed Paolo, the brother of her husband Giovanni Malatesta…) Auguste Rodin possessed an unique ability to model a complex, turbulent, deeple pocketed surface in clay. Many of Rodin’s most notable sculptures were roundly criticized during his lifetime. He modeled the human body with realism, and celebrated individual character and physicality. Grown up in poverty, by the year 1900 he was a world- renowned artist, and kept company with a variety of high profile intellectuals and artists. Donatello and Michelangelo had a great influence on his works. In 1880 Rodin started working at The Gates of Hell (a portal for a musuem that was never build) Rodin worked on his masterpiece untill the end of his life, but it was never finished. Many of his best- known sculptures started as designs or figures for this masterpiece. Such as The Thinker, The three shades and The Kiss. Quote by Auguste Rodin: “The artist must create a spark before he can make a fire, and before art is born, the artist must be ready to be consumed by the fire of his own creation” link to the world’s largest Rodin-site www.rodin-web.org link to wikipedia en.wikipedia.org link to ARC www.artrenewal.org link
