Is a hummel figurine that never got painted worth more?
August 28th, 2011 Posted 4:40 am
I have a Auf Wiedersehen 153/0 that my Grandmother got from a friend in Germany, she said it was stolen from the factory before it got painted. It seems very rare to me. Does any one know the value of something like this? If any.

I have a figurine I want to identify – an eau de nil coloured child holding a rabbit?
August 9th, 2010 Posted 9:52 am
It is approx 8" high, has a semi glazed appearance. The child looks surprised and slightly afraid, holding the rabbit to his cheek.
Also there is some writing on the bottom at the back that says ‘RON.APPI0R.
Can anyone help. I believe it is at least 80 years old. My grandmother owned it before WWII.

Has anyone ever seen a figurine of a little smoking man that actually smokes and blows smoke rings?
June 25th, 2010 Posted 7:03 pm
My grandmother has an antique (I don’t know how old, but it’s been around since both myself and my mother can remember) that is a little man (the whole thing is about 6-8 in tall) that smokes. When I was little, my grandma had little paper cigarettes that went in his mouth and when you lit it, he blew smoke rings. It’s not mechanized or anything like that. I would just like to know more about it, if anyone has seen one before.

How can you find the value of a Hummel figurine?
June 23rd, 2010 Posted 11:59 pm
My Grandmother has a few that must be at least 50 or 60 years old. Is there any way I want to get a price on these? Not looking to sell them or anything, but I would like to know what their worth. The are genuine and numbered. I know the new ones are pretty expensive.

Does anyone recognize this hallmark on the bottom of my figurine?
May 12th, 2010 Posted 8:05 pm
It is a capital "N" in blue ink with a crown above it – the crown has 5 points on it.
The figurine is three young children – a taller girl in the middle holding a swaddled child with a younger boy next to her. The detail is amazing – the toes of the shoes are worn away so you can see the toes of the children. I would say that the piece is Bavarian or German, maybe Austrian – though that may just be the style of the piece and not indicative of where it’s from.
Thanks.
Rojoe! Thanks – I looked at that site and couldn’t find this exact mark, but I found another site selling capodimonte and found an almost identical piece with a pretty much identical mark! I guess over the years they had a bunch of marks (but this appears to be genuine and not a knock-off! My grandmother collected figurines and I can’t imagine she would have bought a fake.) Thanks so much! 10 pts when the time comes.
