I started collecting porcelain dolls when I was a girl. I recently took them out of storage and some of them are having a bad hair day. Is there anyway I can fix their hair? Is there anyway I can prevent this from happening with my newer dolls?

My spare bedroom is running short on room and my husband has a ton of autographed sports items like mini-helmets, pitcures, footballs etc. I have covered every inch of the wall with all this framed sports photos yet I still lack room for the others. I don’t want to throw them in storage, so how can I display these items nicely in the closet?

Please show me some examples if possible. I’ve tried down sizing his collection but you just can’t seperate a man and his sports.

thanks!

Perfect Storage Solution – Shelves

In most homes today, unless you have a storage unit or shed, the most common place to store all of our extra items is in the garage. Today, in addition to the home made shelves, there are many solutions for problems related to storage in the garages. One big advantage of using shelves is that by going up vertically, they leave the floor space unoccupied and thus free for an alternate additional use. This is why metal garage shelves are so popular.

There are two main types of shelving: free standing and wall mounted shelves.

Free standing shelves can be made out of a variety of materials, including pressed board, resin, wood, metal and heavy duty wire that is often coated with rubber. Many people use wooden shelving. The most important feature of free standing utility shelves for being used for storage in a garage is that they can be moved around and placed wherever it suits you best. They could be strategically placed in the garage for being used as a divider to separate a particular area for a definite predefined function.

Generally you get such shelves in varying depths of 12 to 20 inches. They are available in many styles,Some come on lockable casters so that you can move them easily and them lock them into place so that they do not move.Others, such as some of the heavy duty plastic shelves easily break down for portability. Solid heavy duty plastic coated wire shelves can also hold a lot of weight but have a distinct advantage of not getting rusted even on getting in contact with water and are therefore preferred over pressed board kind of shelves for typical applications that may encounter water.

Wall mounted shelves also come in a variety of material, though it is best to get a heavy duty shelf that is specially designed for the garage, such as one that is designed to hold up to 100 lbs per linear foot. Heavy duty wire shelves are just right for they have plenty of capacity to hold heavier loads and their design makes it easier for the onlooker to check from below what is kept in which shelf. It’s a great solution for garage wall shelf. A very helpful feature of open wire design, especially for humid areas is that being open it allows for circulation of air, thus keeping away the problem of mold and mildew.

Find A Place For Everything That Belongs In Your Life

Making sure everything has its place these days is almost essential if one wants to keep everything that ends up in one’s life from completely overwhelming one’s ability to keep what’s important from being buried by what’s pretty much not important. For sure, we all have things that we prize or treasure, and keeping those around and getting rid of the stuff we don’t need is probably highly recommended.

As an example, consider that full face helmet that we have out in the garage that once belonged to a very nice motorcycle that we owned. Unfortunately that bike was sold off long ago but for some reason we just don’t want to see the helmet gone. We don’t really know why we keep it around but it seems to be fulfilling some sort of need that we have, which can be somewhat difficult to explain in some cases.

In the animal kingdom there is a species of rodent known as a packrat. We have to take particular care that we don’t begin imitating some of its collector-type behaviors in our own lives. In many cases, these behaviors can develop without our even being aware of it. However, understanding that we’re turning into little packrats can be a good first step towards reordering our lives toward what’s more important.

In order to begin the process we have to take a few concrete, physical steps. One such step that we can take to ‘de-clutter’ our lives is to pick up a few home storage shelves and put the items that we really need, that we’ve collected, on those shelves and then put the items that we once wanted but that we no longer need down on the ground or out in the garage. Certainly, we wanted those things at one time but not any longer.

A good example of this ‘need versus want’ phenomenon is a guitar, at least for many men and boys who once figured they’d be the second coming of Jimi Hendrix but who turned out to be more fumble fingered then not. At one point, somebody went out and invested the money in a nice instrument like an Epiphone electric guitar, but the truth is that guitar is most likely a good candidate for a garage sale.

But, this is just the way things are in life, in many cases. We collect a lot of stuff while we move through it and then we end up finding out that we don’t have anywhere near the required space in order to accommodate it all. It helps to clutter our lives in ways that prevent us from being able to make out what’s important to us. Usually because we’re focused on how to manage all of that stuff and not focused on managing relationships, for example.

In the end, making sure everything has its place is a quality first step towards making sure your life will eventually have purpose and meaning. Being able to get rid of things that are just cluttering up that life will become a necessity at one point or another in just about everyone’s future, especially if they themselves have done nothing but fill their life with things they wanted which they really didn’t need.

Increase Your Productivity with Custom Home Office Furniture

Studies show a link between work attire and performance. In order to increase productivity, dressing professionally can cause the mind to engage in a more serious business attitude. Plenty of office managers who have taken on a “Casual Fridays” dress code claim that casual clothing invokes a leisure attitude — making production decrease. If you work at home, you have probably noticed a difference in productivity between the occasions when you’re professionally dressed to meet with a customer, and when you’re in casual lounging clothes with no expected visitors.

The environmental effects of your home office are similar. Can you concentrate on your work when your corner office is a corner of your bedroom, or feel successful if work documents stack up because you don’t even own a file cabinet? How simple is it to reference a client’s invoice, when it’s kept inside a box that’s better designed for storing holiday ornaments in the garage?

Visualize entering your home office, and being greeted with a professional looking, custom built office, designed to match the physical space and your working style. Is your dream home office decorated with a cherry, maple, or other wood tone? Are there work surfaces in the best size and shape for top work performance? Are there cabinets for filing and storing important papers, allowing you to easily locate them when needed? Would you like cubby holes or shelving that are in easy reach and/or hidden behind tidy cabinet doors? There are endless options with custom home offices. You are only limited by your creativity.

However, you won’t have to rely on your imagination alone if you choose to hire a company specializing in the design of home office environments. Here if we need Office furniture in Sacramento or Sacramento computer furniture, Techline has been very good. Choose an authorized company that is very experienced and consults freely. They should have a showroom for you to look at illustrations of the home office design work they have done. When you get an idea of the style that you like, the designer works with you to ready a 3-D design that meets your own personal home office desires.

After your new home office has been put together by an expert, you will be surprised how its organization helps you work more efficiently. The ability to locate receipts, invoices, or additional necessary papers immediately will help you spend less time at work and be less stressed. In reality, you may have such an increase in productivity that you find you can wear your comfortable slippers in your new home office and still attain the best results.

Have you ever admired a makeup artist’s train case and wondered, “Where can I get a case like that?” Some of the most popular cases among professionals sell for hundreds of dollars in specialty shops, but luckily the demand for such cases is rising so much that online retailers are able to offer competitive cases at much lower costs.

Now that you’re aware you no longer have to fork out an arm, a leg, and possibly an ear just to get one of these trendy cosmetic storage bags, you might be asking yourself why these cases are so popular. Honestly? Organization. It’s just that simple. Who would expect a makeup artist show up to work with a bag that is stained from loose, leaking cosmetics which clatter around with every movement? No one would. Not saying you have to be a professional to use one of these cases—I’m not, and I couldn’t live without my aluminum makeup case!—but it is nice to be able to have a place for everything so you can simply reach in and pluck out whichever item you want without having to root around for ages.

And let me tell you, the interior is only the beginning! There are so many designs to choose from, you will definitely find it hard to choose just one. It’s simply a matter of addressing your lifestyle and cosmetic needs. For instance, if you have a smaller collection of cosmetics, you might do well with a simple soft cosmetic case. These are made of very durable material, and although they’re soft, they still contain sectional compartments to store your beauty items (which prevent a lot of your things from moving around and coming loose!). If you travel a lot (or have children that like to sneak into mommy’s makeup!), have a look into aluminum makeup cases. They’re durable, classy, and are very easy to lock up (most of them actually come with locks).

There are so many styles to choose from that you’re sure to find a case that is just right for your lifestyle and personality.

Most of us would rather spend a little bit more on make up and feel justified that as long as the quality is good, it’s worth the money. However, have you ever wondered if the little bag stuffed to breaking point might not be the best way to store your cosmetics? Finding the right case is a simple matter of browsing the market and keeping your lifestyle and needs in mind.

Cosmetic cases come in a variety of colors, sizes, and materials. Professional makeup cases are obviously of a high quality standard, but with so many great deals that can be found online it is not uncommon for the average person to use a similar product for their own home purposes.

The hard makeup case is a very popular choice for women now days. With such hectic lives, it’s nice to know that no matter where we travel, how rough our children might be with our things, our make up is safe. These cases usually come in aluminum, but are available in other durable materials. The beauty about a hard makeup case is not only the durability, but the fact that most of them now come with locks!

Another style of bag we’re going to talk about is the make up train case. It is a very widely sought case simply for its versatility and convenience. Although the style can differ, most are designed so that the top portion, divided into halves, simply fall back once the case is opened, revealing several trays which you can slide out to reveal all of your things. They are usually made with a durable material, as these cases were originally designed with travel in mind.

Durable Makeup Cases Suitable For A Professional

Are you are tired of having to dig through a jumble of cosmetics every time you put on your makeup? Or are you a makeup artist who is looking for a professional yet organized way to transport your cosmetics between appointments? You might want to pay attention then, because we’re going to list the top three products available in professional cosmetic cases: soft cosmetic cases, aluminum cases, and train cases.

If you’re looking for a soft, luggage-style makeup case, then it might be worthwhile for you to look into soft makeup cases. These bags are made of fabric and come in an assortment of colors to suit all tastes. They can look as simple as an ordinary suitcase or duffel bag, or as jazzy as a tote or handbag. However, instead of a huge empty space where all of your precious cosmetics would simply clash about, you will find that soft cosmetic bags have removable and stationary compartments which make organizing and finding your things a cinch!

Aluminum make up cases are particularly popular not only for their attractive outer shell, but because they make it so darn easy to unpack and re-pack your items! They have a trunk-like exterior and usually come in sets, with the large main case (usually equipped with wheels and a trolley handle, much like a suitcase) and a smaller matching case which fits snugly on top of the main case for easy transport. As with a soft case, an aluminum case contains many compartments for organizing your things, but the layout requires less work. Simply open the latches so that the top portion of the box folds open to reveal pop-up/pop-out drawers. Poof! All of your makeup and styling equipment is ready in a flash!

The last, yet seemingly most popular style is the makeup train case. This style is almost always boxy and usually is adorned with a carry handle and strap. They come in a huge variety of colors and are very popular in the aluminum finish. Most often, cosmetic train cases are designed so that the top portion is divided in half, where each half can fold back to expose many dividers and pop-up trays that will offer maximum organization for all of your lotions and potions.
