You need to determine w hat type of floor you have, before you start with the cleaning. If you are lucky to have a new sealed floor, it is probably a surface sealed floor which requires relatively little care. If your floor is older, it is probably a penetrating seal treated floor. This type of floor needs more involved care with waxes and oils.

For cleaning hardwood floors, in the case of a surface sealed floor, you merely need to mop using a product recommended by your flooring manufacturer. Products like Oil Soap solution (which don’t generally contain oil) are usually safe. Use some soap and a damp mop on this type of floor and you will be safe. Make sure to dry the floor completely when you’re done, since sitting water can damage a surface sealed floor.

In case you have a penetrating seal floor in your home, you won’t be able to use water based products while mopping. But for routine cleanings, use a vacuum cleaner or a broom. You will have deep cleaned floors if you remove the old wax coating and apply new one every once in a while. You are free to do this task two times a year.

Manufacturers directions should be follower while using stripper here. Make sure you have a good ventilation so your hardwood floors can dry properly. Now you can buy some wax that can be applied on your wood floor and you are ready. Read the instructions so you can properly apply the number of coats you wish for.

And at last, we have an important step to do, to use a electric floor scrubber. You will have to use this process so that the wax can sink in properly and the floor can be sealed and shiny. There are plenty of people who who buy used floor buffers since they are cheap and help them finish their job with ease. I think it is very important to know that a new floor bufer machines you buy will pay itself off after you use it for several times.
