Shades of knights and dragons and Robin Hood! Castle keeps and drawbridges and towers that overlook the land surrounding the castle are all features of castle figurines.   Each one has a story to tell, or a story that can be made up to go with it.  Use your imagination and you can spend hours with these castle figurines making up adventure stories.

Did you know you can get castle figurines with lights inside?  They're more suited to weddings, but you get the idea.  I think I'd rather have the Wicked Witch of Oz's castle. It lights up too and she flies around it on her broomstick.  All the Wizard of Oz characters are there with her too.

Of course the castle figurines that relate to movies or other famous stars are considered to be collectible and you would pay a bit more for them.  But it depends on what kind of a collection you want to start, or add to. If you don't mind paying a bit more for a better castle figurine, you can have an outstanding collection within a short period of time.  Best to look for the unusual in this kind of collector's item.

Castle figurines can come in many mediums from molded plastic (gaily painted) to porcelain.  What you want will depend on where you want to display the castles and whether or not you intend to allow the children to play with them.
