Samurai figurines seem to have a really big following on eBay.  I'm not really sure why they are quite as popular as they are, but there is no doubt the figurines are particularly striking.  They represent a culture we don't know much about except through word of mouth stories from others, and what we find on the Internet.

Some of these figurines can be politely said to be pretty unique, when in reality they are kind of ugly, but stunning in detail and artistry.  Each figurine is different and displays the different warrior garb of their particular era.  Take a look at their swords, one of the things they are absolutely famous for.  Their skills as warriors are in fact legendary.  Find them mounted of horses of war, or on foot about to attack their opposition.

Did you know Samurai didn't come into existence until the 12th century?  At that time two large clans, fighting over land, clashed in an epic battle.  This is when the term shogun came into being which in simple terms was a military reference.  Be that as it may, the samurai came into being as powerful and much feared fighters.

Samurai figurines offer a powerful insight into the Japanese culture and can become quite the conversation pieces when friends gather at your place.  If you choose to do some research on them, you will find a rich history that can be shared as you tell your friends about the history of the warriors they are admiring.
