Wood Carving Figurines
Wood Carving Figurines with Character
Woodcarving has been around for many years (ok make that centuries since the first known carvings were done in 1111) and was a way of passing
the time for many people. Eventually someone decided to start making figurines and wouldn't you know it, they took off like hotcakes.
Wood carving figurines are quite the item to have in your home, and as far as decorative, well, you can't beat a good woodcarving.
Woodcarving isn't something you just "do". You must learn how to do it from others, and yes, wood carvers actually can go to school to
do that. It's not just a one-year course and you're done either. There are four years served as an apprentice to develop the skill and
style needed to create memorable wood carving figurines.
Did you know that before the woodcarving is actually started it comes to life as a clay model first? And they don't just use "any" old
piece of wood. It has to be at least 75 years old and not have any imperfections in it. The wood chosen is usually maple or
linden.
Wood carving figurines fit well into any décor and bring a touch of elegance with them. Once you start collecting these figurines, you
will realize very quickly that one will not be enough.
